Gilead House 4th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament

Family Law Attorney Christian Sherman is a long-time supporter of the Gilead House. Located in Novato, Gilead House helps homeless mothers rise from homelessness through a structured program. The nonprofit organization also helps children a variety of ways.

This year, Christina is a gold sponsor of their 4th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament. Christina chose to sponsor the event because she wants to help solve the problems of homelessness and hunger in Marin County and make our community a better place to live. In additional to supporting Gilead House, Christina serves on the board of directors for the San Geronimo Preschool and volunteers as a Bench/Bar panelist with the Marin Court to help resolve family law cases in a settlement conference, eliminating the need for those couples to litigate.

Christina volunteers because she believes that, “You can do something to change your community. Whatever your interests are. If you like going to the ocean, you can help pick up trash at the beach. If we all do something to improve our community, it will be a better place to live.”

Here is where you can find more information about the Gilead House 4th Annual Bocce Ball Tournament and purchase tickets.

The mission of the Gilead House is to inspire hope and empower homeless single moms and their children toward financial stability and independence. Gilead House provides a stable home environment for low income, vulnerable, and often homeless single mothers and their children. Its 24-month program offers women the opportunity to learn vital skills in a supportive environment so they can make permanent changes in their life. Gilead House is special because a family’s transformation from homelessness to self-reliance is able to take place in a real home, not a shelter or institution.
